Natuska Rottweilers & Cairn Terriers

My name is Kerryn Pearson and I would like to welcome you to our site. I have been involved with the Rottweiler Breed since 1986 when Craig and I acquired our first bitch 'Chloe' (Kysurakyan Mia Kallist CD ET SchH II), and six months later 'Tina' (Sadiki Destina CD SchH I), the first Rottweilers to pass an ANKC Tracking Prelim & Trial in SA. These girls were the foundation stock of the 'Barenstark' Kennel. Unfortunately only 2 dogs, a brother & sister that I am aware of,  were campaigned to their titles under this prefix, namely: 'Maddy' (Aust Ch Barenstark Izora) a National Rottweiler Championship Show CC winner & 'Tarka' (Aust Ch Barenstark Intrepid), both top winning dogs in their own right. Many other Barenstark Dogs & Bitches went on to win their classes at Specialty Shows but were not campaigned enough to gain their Championship Titles.

In 1992 the 'Natuska' prefix was born. Since then and with the help of my daughter Lee, who has been handling since the age of 7, we have bred many Champions, All Breeds & Specialty winners. Photo's and the achievements of some of these dogs appear on this site.

In June 2005, I was certified by the ANKC to award CC's for the Utility Group, and currently train for my judging  licence in groups 2 (Terriers) & 7 (Non-Sporting).  Due to my extensive involvement with the Anatolian Shepherd, Lee and I taking many to their Championship Titles, I have had the pleasure of delivering the lecture for this breed to the Group 6 Trainee's. 

Our first terrier was purchased in 2001 for my daughter Lee to use in Child Handlers. Our little snow ball was a feisty West Highland White named 'Ted The Terrible Terrier' (Aust Ch Drover Highland Heath).

In 2006 with the help of Breed Specialist & All Breeds judge Mr Peter Bennett we introduced 'Scarlet' (Aust Ch Seneybob Aberlady Astor), to the Kennel. She is our first Cairn Terrier, who to our delight titled easily and has proven to be a little Show Off winning many Classes In Group, Class In Show, Best & Runner Up In Group. Scarlet has now been joined by Ruby (Achnacone Rubies R Red) and soon to arrive Zsa Zsa (Caroqs Zsa Zsa Gabor) from Sweden.

We are only a small kennel and only keep a few dogs at a time. We prefer to have our dogs in the home where they can  receive plenty of individual attention. Our puppies are always lovingly cared for, being raised in the family home where they receive much attention and socialization before they go to their new homes. We breed for our own purposes and not for the pet market, wanting quality rather than quantity and have only 1 or 2 litters per year. Puppies from both breeds are sometimes available to loving, experienced homes.

Our home is situated in the heart of the Gilbert Valley, in the beautiful township of Riverton which is nestled between the notable Barossa & Clare Valley's, Internationally known for their Award Winning Wines. Our dogs enjoy a quality life living in the fresh country air and taking long walks along deserted dirt roads among tall gum trees and estuaries. They also like to go camping and to the beach to play in the waves.

This Kennel supports the work and good intentions of the Rottweiler Rescue SA Inc., a newly established rescue for Rottweilers who through no fault of their own find themselves without a home.
